In the recording studio

 In Uncategorized
At 10 PM on a late July evening, Loly and the band entered the studios of CMDX La Voz del Toa, Baracoa’s radio station.  Six and a half hours later, at 4:30 AM, they emerged having recorded 14 demo tracks.
Have a listen to Loly in conversation with Galina Arcia Lafitta, in an interview (in Spanish) recorded days after the session.  The interview ends with the first ever radio broadcast of one of the demo recordings, El Arroyo de la Sierra, which recounts Loly’s childhood growing up on his grandmother’s (“la abuelita Cheche”) farm.
